I know being worst at ACT reading is pretty uncommon but here I am! So I just finished tenth grade and got my June scores back for ACT:
M:34
S:31
E:35
R:28
C: 32
W: 9
How can I get better at reading?
I always either read slowly and answer questions thoroughly but run out of time before even reaching the last passage or read too fast to understand the material and then go back and spend forever on the questions and also run out of time or go through everything fast, finish, and get basically nothing right. I’ve taken the ACT three times and no approach I’ve tried has worked for reading. I’m an avid reader, too! I read fast, enjoy reading leisurely and english is my favorite and best subject. I don’t know why I always do badly on reading for standardized tests.
Tips?
