Okay so I’m in my first semester of college. I’ve had a lot of family issues that caused me to go home at random times and be away and distant from all my school work. I am typically a smart person and do well with school and studying. I’m worried that me failing classes because of this is going to ruin my future of Pharmacy school. does anyone know if I fail my first semester if I will be able to bounce back and still get into a pharmacy school? Or even if I can tak those classes again and pass them when I can be fully attentive?
Go talk to an advisor
Yes, go talk to an advisor to assess what your options are at this point. Can you withdraw due to extenuating circumstances, take a “gap” year, get your family situation worked on, then reapply? Only the officials at your school would know this and what procedures are required to do something like this.
If you have to take Fs in all of your classes, this will be reflected on your transcript and this is going to take a serious amount of work to recover from, that is the reality of the situation. It could also affect your financial aid and/or scholarships. Retaking the classes might be an option, again check with your advisor. This will cost you extra money as well.
