What is the best way to travel from Hanover to Ithaca? I know that there is a railway station near Hanover (called White River Junction) but there are no trains to Syracuse. Also, no buses service Hanover. Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

sorry i couldnt resist

bus to rutland (vermont transit) …rutland to albany by amtrak ,bus or train to syracuse etc
but the times are tough see if works out

alternative bus to boston and fly to syracuse or ithaca

While it may be expensive, check fares from Syracuse to Manchester, NH (US air) or the cheaper route would be from Syracuse to Boston (logan) (US Air ~$204), hen taking the Dartmouth coach to Hanover (bus stops in front of the Hanover in.

isaac: that was COLD since the OP is an international seeking to understand our rapid transit (or lack thereof) … :)

How do you see a schedule from Hanover to Rutland? I tried Vermont Transit but didn’t see a schedule from Hanover. When I checked Amtrack from Rutland - it left at 8:am 290 Ethan Allen Rutland, VT (RUD). Does a bus leave Hanover early enough to make this connection - dropping off right at Amtrak? Is this route only available at Thanksgiving etc holidays?
Thx
