I am looking to improve my math and verbal scores which were 630 and 620 respectively. It is also important to note that I went into the test 100% cold (not 1 minute of studying). My question is: How much do you think I could possibly improve those scores through studying and proper preparation?

1 point per hour of studying.

My son had 690 and 680 the first time he took SAT with no preparation and no particular need to do especially well (he only needed 1050 total to qualify for the program he was potentially interested in). The second time around with a light prep (not nearly an hour per point) he got 800 and 760.

Fusion wins.

math and verbal? are you talking about the old sat?

By preparing, you could definitely raise both of your scores into the 700s and possibly even above 750 if you study right.
