HELP - How to improve my stats

<p>I’m looking to attend U of M ann arbor. </p>

<p>Currently, I’m a junior at high school
My stats are:
-3.93 GPA (however, I can get it to a 3.97 over summer school)
-27 ACT (took it again and hopefully scored between 28-31)
-Asian ethnicity
-2 Ap classes so far
-200-250 hours of community service
-Involved in 4 extracurricular groups (including National Honor Society)</p>

<p>I would like to know if there is anything I can improve in to make me stand out? I also would like to know Am I a good candidate to get accepted into U of Michigan?</p>

<p>apply ED in the fall…UMIch is instituting it…</p>

<p>If you are OOS, and don’t need FA, you are good to go…</p>

<p>If you are in-state, may want to bring up that ACT but if you don’t need FA you should be ok anyway…</p>

<p>I am going to be applying for financial aid. How would a 28-30 ACT sound?
Also, what does ED mean please?</p>

<p>Binding Early decision; you apply in Nov;have decision in Dec but you can’t apply anywhere else early and you have to withdraw all your other apps if you are accepted…and a 28-30 would sound good…but I think admissions at UMich are going to be weird next year with the ED added…</p>

<p>Are you in-state for Michigan? If not then you won’t get any FA from them (except federal).</p>

<p>^^Exactly what I was going to ask since COA for UM is close to 50k/yr for OOS students.</p>
