Help, I can't access my aol mail

I am unable to access my mail. When I sign in to aol and click on my mail, a page appears describing different faster speed programs. Anyone know what happened? Thanks for your help.

I am having no problems, either with my aol sign in page or with using IE to get to my mail. Keep trying? Go to AOL.com and try?

It sounds like you have a virus and/or adware. Do you hace anti-virus software installed? Run an update to get the latest version and run a full-scan. I 'd also download Adaware (Free version) and scan for adware. If that doesn’t work, I’d also download Spybot Search and Destroy and run that.

Good luck.

Oh! I think I will need to wait till tonight. My son is home from college and will be home later. I better not try anything. Thanks, not ready 4 purple. I was hoping it would be something minor. It is so frustrating because I can see how many I have but can’t access them.

It might just be adware - annoying but not damaging. You can still try sunnyflorida’s suggestion of going directly to aol.com (select Open in a browser window and type in aol.com). (But do run a virus scan later…)

Lovely AOL decided to debut a new web version (that is – aol.com mail on the web) this morning. So far I am NOT happy (like they are gonna listen to me …). It seems very slow and buggy.

I’m doing just fine with AOL AOL which I use at the shop.

Why they have to fix things that aren’t (apparently) broken is beyond me!

OK, I went in again on aol.com and with the new features there was an ad in the middle of the screen, but I found a tiny “close” button and closed it and there was the mail. I also still use AOL AOL (!!!) and load the old sign-on version onto every computer I have. You can still load it on from online software it you have an old @aol.com name.

thanks sunny florida, but no luck for me. I will have to wait till 6:00 when my son gets home.

Did you try signing out then back in again? If you sign on using the aol sign in page and aol software, did you try clicking on the IE internet explorer icon and then going to aol.com and signing in?
