Help I Created A Common App And I'M A Sophomore Would This Disqualify Me Senior Year?

So I’m a sophomore and I created a common app because I was curious and I started filling stuff on it out. For example, I filled out my address, and now colleges keep sending things to me. Would this disqualify me for when I’m actually applying for senior year since my name is already in their mailing letters? No, I’ve not submitted any applications I just filled out my profile and added colleges to my list! I didn’t pick an enroll date either. I did put in my graduation year which is 2019. Please help me I’M FREAKING OUT!

Will not hurt at all. When you apply to a school, you choose which term you’d like to apply for (Spring 2017, Fall 2017, etc…).

Colleges update their application windows as they open and close. Just log back into the same account your senior year and apply for Fall 2019

@plants - no need to freak out. I created mine in my junior year but have been able to use it without any issues now.

To add to what @Jpgranier said, if you entered some basic info into the CA, it will automatically roll-over to the then current application. However, being a sophomore, suggest you just leave everything blank. You never know what changes may happen between now and your senior year.

@MedSciBud it is normal that they keep sending things to my house?

You’re fine. Just don’t forget your username and password. And, yes, it’s normal to get junk mail from colleges.

@plants - some of the mail may not actually be junk, especially as you get closer to your senior year. I found a couple of “application fee waivers” from good universities like Rice - in such mailers.

@MedSciBud I’m not sure how fee waivers work, but wouldn’t they only be sent from schools you have added on your list and only be valid for that application window?

@Jpgrainer - correct about the application window. But I have no idea how colleges select people to send the fee waivers to. The ones I received are all OOS and I don’t think I had added them to CA before they sent me the waivers. Sorry to have hijacked this thread with that info. I was just making a point to look at all mailers before trashing!
