Try Macalester. It is not a safety, by any means, but they have excellent aid for internationals, a highly international campus, terrific facilities, and you’ll get far more personal attention (and likely more research opportunities) than you would at jhu (unless you are truly top of the heap.)

The other prime choice, especially for sciences, would be Mount Holyoke. Again, very international. And higher rates of graduates going on to graduate school in biology and medical sciences than JHU.

You might enjoy the Mt. Holyoke website for int’l applicants:

http://www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/center/international_info/index.shtml

(P.S. My d. is at Smith, and also takes classes at Mt. Holyoke. If you would like more info. on either, feel free to e-mail me.)

Beloit College tends to offer excellent aid to international students. 10 - 15% of the students are international, so you won’t be alone. Also, biology is very strong there. Good luck.

Case Western

What Case western gives financial aid to internationals?
