Help! I need somebody! Help! Not just anybody! Help!

Hey guys quick question on community college credits, so if I took a class at a CC for high school credit/instead of the equivalent HS class (in this case an intro chem class), will that credit transfer to whatever 4 year college I apply to?

At my school they specifically state that if you got high school credit for it, it cannot transfer as college credit.

-1 misleading title. thought it would be a beatles thread

It depends what college you go to. I tried transferring my dual-credit classes to my school and they didn't allow it for some reason (maybe it's a new policy?). It seems to me that state universities are more likely to allow this than private universities. I could be wrong, though.

^Michigan doesn't.

Transfer agreements depend upon the schools. Check with the school to which the class will be transferred to see if they will accept it.

Very selective state schools like UMich, UVA, UC's, Texas, etc don't usually accept community college credit taken in high school. These schools are basically grouped with other selective private schools.

Fair enough. I thought you were trying to say it had something to do specifically with them being public rather than private, not the selectivity, which is why I brought it up.
