I just submitted my common app to lehigh last night, and I just realized there was a typo in my extracurriculars section: an entire section of the description for my 1# EC was cut out, and so was one in my 3# EC. How screwed am I? What do I do?
Email your admissions counselor clarifying the mistake - it shouldn’t be a big deal, especially if you just submit last night. If you want to go even further, you could also submit a resume with all of your ECs and whatnot in that same email, but this isn’t required. Don’t worry too much about it, you’ll be fine!
If you exceed the word / character limit, the platform will truncate.
Make corrections before sending in additional applications.
Email your admissions officer at Lehigh with corrections and apologies. Edit your application before submitting elsewhere.
My kid did this last year with a similar school and they emailed their admissions counselor and sent in a corrected activities section of the Common App in PDF form. The counselor said admissions would use that one. And they did! They are happily enrolled now. It’s OK–people make mistakes and correcting them is the right thing to do.
Thanks everyone!
The mistake that happened was that I was editing the description, left it blank and decided to come back to it later; I forgot about this until this morning.
Ill email rn
