Help! I want to loosen up my HS courseload and look good for Cal at same time!

Hey I’m a senior…and I kinda have a troublesome course load at school…i wanna see if I can losen it up, but at the same time I want it to look good for colleges at Cal, Duke, Cornell level. I’ll start from freshman year.

Freshman Year
Alg 2 Honors : A
French 1: A-
English 9 Honors: A-
Art: A-
P.E: A
Biology A

Sophomore Year
Chem Honors: A-
AP Stats: A- first and B+ second sememster
French 2: A- first and B- second semester
Trig Honors: A
AP Euro Hist: A
English 10 Hon: A-
P.E : A

Junior year
AP Physics: A first semester and B second
AP English lang: A-
US History: A
P.E/Teacher Assistant: A
AP Calc AB: A
AP Bio: A-

Senior Year
AP Calc BC (only offered 1st)
AP Civics
French 3
AP English Lit
AP Chem
Teacher Assistant
AP Comp sci (only offered 7th)

No holes in schedule allowed…I was thinking of dropping AP Chem and have another Teacher Assistant period…that or dropping both Teacher Assistant and AP Comp Sci.
I know for sure I dont want to drop AP English Lit or AP Calc BC.

What are you interested in studying during college?

drop civics, dont do a ta.

Math and science is main for me…so I guess I’d be studying that in college.

Since I can;t have holes in my schedule, I was thinking of dropping AP Chem for another TA? Would two TA classes be okay?

take an easy elective instead of being a TA, and i agree with Castel, don’t take civics.

your senior year schedule will not make a big difference. you can get by with just taking 2 or 3 APs.

If you plan on majoring in any science, definitely take AP chem. it makes chem 1a a LOT easier.
