Help Identifying Potential Schools

Hi everyone at College Confidential,
I will be entering my senior year of high school this fall and have recently begun my college search. Unfortunately, I have been running into some trouble on my search. There are so many good schools, but since I have decided to apply to ROTC I must limit myself to no more than 4-5 colleges so I must choose carefully. So far I have University of Michigan and Wisconsin on my list. In short, I come here asking you guys for some help in identifying some potential schools (both reach and safety public and private) that match my abilities.

For safeties, look into state schools.
I would look at Duke, WashU, Rice, Columbia, and Cornell.
If you can really sell yourself with a good essay, you will have a shot anywhere.

Thank you for the reply. Anybody else care to way in?

Cornell, Duke, Columbia, Northwestern, Washington seem to be good schools to aim for. As for safeties, you probably know better :)

I’d aim for a top 25 school along the lines of Duke, Notre Dame, WUStL etc…Your stats and ECS are great but considering the limited number of schools you can apply to I would avoid Ivies.

Thank you again for the replies. I figured the ECS with the police department defiantly would help just from sheer uniqueness, but when I look at school like Cornell and Duke I feel like my ACT and GPA are boarder line at best. Is this correct or are the numbers I see posted both on other websites and the school’s website themselves a little inflated?

Okay, the undercover thing=AWESOME!! Have never heard of that before! I wanna try that (except I’m a girl, so the prostitute thing would be really weird). You could write an amazing essay with that! (So many exclamation points… :p.)

Okay, I’m recommending Columbia, Johns Hopkins… the top schools for you. I don’t know much about the SEAS program, so I don’t know which schools are good for this and that. Your ACT and GPA aren’t killer, so you might want to retake the ACT and always apply for some safeties (Wisconsin is a definite safety, and U of M is good too). Again, your ECs are amazing, so they might cover up for ACT.

Good luck!

and if you could chance me back, I would fully appreciate that:
