[Help] IGETC foreign language

Thank you for reading this,
1.I went to school in China during my 6th-9th grade, so i didn’t take any language courses here, what do i have to do to get my IGETC certified?

2.I have my academic records from that time period, but there are in chinese, do i have to translate them infront of my counslor ? (notary?)

3.do i have to send my IGETC to UCLA? because i didn’t see that on the admission contract.

I completed my foreign language requirement overseas and this is how it worked for me at my CC:

First, I had to get my transcripts officially translated into English. Then, I sent it to a foreign transcript evaluation service where they provided me with a letter certifying that I did complete X number of years in a foreign high school and have proficiency in a foreign language.

See your counselor; they will be able to give you the contact information for the foreign transcript evaluation service. It took 2 weeks for mine to be evaluated.

As for certifying IGETC, yes, it does need to be certified. Go to your college’s graduation office after you have gotten the letter from the transcript evaluation service. They will have a form that you need to fill out to certify completion of all IGETC classes. The college will mail that certification out to UCLA. Be sure to do all this soon because there is a deadline in June/July (I’m not sure when)

thank you, do you have the contact info of the foreign transcript evaluation service ?
