I can’t believe we did it!! It was a huge stretch for us financially, but three and a half years later we are excited to have paid the last tuition payment tonight.

D picked the right school for her, and she has grown and matured through all of her experiences. I survived my first born moving away to college, and am excited about D’s future. We sure hope a good job is the next step for her.

D will have student loans to pay back on her own, but our part is done.

Awesome!, congrats on making that last tuition payment.

We paid some college almost $3000 a month for 7 years…and that didn’t include housing for junior and senior years for our kids.

Our graduation gift to them was repayment of the Direct Loans. Really…it was a drop in the bucket compared to tuition bills.

And we went on a nice vacation!

^Me, too. @intparent - Looking forward to celebrating the end of ALL college expenses, tuition, living expenses, trip back east for graduation including all the festivities…really looking forward to the extra money starting in June <:-P

I’m jealous of those that are (almost) done…we will be done with DD this year (so some celebration), but still have 2 more years for the DS.

@ClaremontMom – honestly, I’d pay for another year if they would keep my kid, she has had such a great experience.

Congratulations! My kiddo has a year and a half to go. We’re paying very little at this point, but I fully understand your financial pain and the relief you feel:) Good luck to your daughter and enjoy your victory:) Parents everywhere salute you!

Congrats powercropper! We too will be making our last payment (for child #3) in December. I share many of your feelings; I feel all of my children were at the right colleges for them and am excited for their futures. My H will be retiring in 2017 too.

SW airlines is opening their flights for May tomorrow. Gotta get my tickets for graduation!
