Hi! I’m a rising junior, and I’m freaking out a bit. I only have a year and a summer left for major improvements in my application. So, basically, my perks are:

-I’m in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, doing full,
-I was first place in the school and regional science fair, and placed honors in state.
-I’m in the International Thespian Society
-I just finished an internship at a PR Firm and Magazine in New York City
-Spanish Honor Society
-Philosophy club

This is what I was thinking about trying to do this year (if you have any other ideas, or how to make these ones happen/better, please tell):

-Starting a Young Democrats Club
-Starting a Gay Straight Alliance Club
-Starting a charity dealing with feminism; it’s a huge passion. We were thinking of starting a “Stop Domestic Violence” or an abortion rights charity.

-I was going to see if they had volunteering at the local boys and girls club

This is my schedule for this coming year:

-IB English 11
-IB World History
-IB Math 3
-IB Biology 1
-IB Spanish 4
Electives:
-AP Government
-SAT Prep

My GPA is UW is 3.6 (9 + 10 years). W depends because IB is counted differently than AP. All IB Classes and one AP Elective next year.

I don’t know what to do. I feel like everyone else has all of this “stuff” that makes them stand out. I don’t do sports, I don’t play an instrument. I just don’t know.
I’m not looking at state colleges, my top (probably total reach) choices are:

-Yale
-Columbia
-UChicago
-NYU
-Oberlin
-Brown
-Haverford
-College of William and Mary
-Bard
-Wellesley
-Barnard
