Help me find a good school???

I am currently a rising senior beginning the dreaded process of college applications.
I currently have a 30 ACT, 33 English, 29 math, 30 reading, 27 science.
Overall GPA: 3.7
11th grade GPA: 3.5
Have 6 hours of University credit in English.

Science (Ranked 542 in the nation)

On the high school soccer team
Member of National Honor Society, SEAL club(environmental), member of American Cancer Society/Got Hope for St. Jude, member of Invisible Children
No disciplinary infractions in my entire high school career.
I am majoring in English, likely a minor(TBD) and am looking to go into publishing
I can attend MSU for free tuition because both of my parents are faculty, but would like to see what else is out there
I do not qualify for financial aid.
I am a permanent resident with dual citizenship between Canada and Australia

You have decent stats. If your parents are professors at MSU (I’m assuming Michigan State…there are many MSUs out there) you should look into the University of Michigan as a reach.

But before I can further recommend schools, how much are your parents able to pay for college, and what type of school environment are you looking for?

Oops, I actually meant MS State. My parents are willing to help, but not some crazy amount because I have two younger brothers who still have to go to college. I just want a good college with a good English department

Bumppppppp

There may be some large merit scholarships available:

If you are a citizen of Canada, Canadian universities may be inexpensive options. But check how being away from the US for the length of time needed to attend could affect your permanent residency.
