You might not like this answer, but you may want to consider attending a community college before heading to a 4 year college. Your GPA is pretty low and that’s going to hold you back from a lot of good schools. If you’re interested in an out-of-state university, you may want to attend community college in that state, gain residency, and transfer in after a year or two.

Champlain University in Vermont accepts a small number of GPAs between 1.0 and 2.0. Also look at Newbury College in Massachusetts.

no disrespect, but yeah im applying to champlain. But i absolutly refuse to go to community college

Haha it’s okay. Community college really isn’t a bad option though, as long as you attend a good one. I went to a very competitive high school, and there were plenty of people with a 3.0+ who went to juco. Personally, I liked my summer juco classes way more than uni classes.

Good luck with your applications!

Look into Armstrong Atlantic State University. They do take some students with a GPA of 1.8. They have computer science and criminal justice. Good luck!
