Help me find the college fit for me, please!

Hi, you guys can refer to me as Ruru. (:

So, basically I’m looking for a college that has these specific qualities to them:

Listed according to importance: Greatest to Least

Sports:
I’m not really an athletic person; I only do golf. However, I want my college life to be the best years of my youth, and I want to take on sports that I’ve never done before, but I’ve always wanted to. I REALLY, REALLY would like to join an archery team, whether it’s a club or intercollegiate division. Fencing and boxing is something I’d like to take up, too, but not as significantly as archery. Golf is a “meh,” but I’m assuming most colleges would have that as a sports choice.

Major:
I would like to major in English. No, I’m not aspiring to be a writer; I would like to one day teach English at the university/college level. Basically, I want to be a professor. Grading essays seem fun, too. I used to want to be a lawyer, but it doesn’t really interest me anymore. If both these plans fail, I might become a literary agent or editor; they both sound interesting to me.

Size:
I would like a SMALL college. I like to be a “big fish” in a small pond. Ideally, in the 1,000’s, but generally anywhere from 1,000 ~ 5,000 (even 6,000), is perfect!

Teachers:
Since I’m looking for a rather small school, I’m hoping/assuming that the teacher to student ratio would be quite small. I would enjoy something of 20:1 or lesser. I also want teachers who actually like to teach their subject and help students learn.

Campus:
I want to enjoy college. I want a beautiful campus. (:

Male-Female ratio:
I know this is a really small thing to worry about in college, but I’d like to prefer to go to college that has a HIGH male attendance to a lower female attendance. Yea, I’m a girl. I want a boyfriend. :|

Tuition:
I am hoping to get quite a few scholarships; I don’t know if it’s plausible though. Obviously, I’d rather not go to an expensive college, but for now, I’m not putting this as a very important factor in choosing my college.

Location:
Honestly, I don’t really mind anywhere. I’d prefer it not to be bipolar weather-wise, but which state the college is in is really the least of my worries.

Selectivity:
Right now, I really don’t mind where the college stands. Obviously, if it’s like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc. I’ll have to cross that off the list, since I will not be able to get in, so I don’t want to bother applying.

Bigger schools tend to have more of the “spirited campus life” with many intramural sports and NCAA type sports. You can always have the “small college feel” at a big college with an Honors Program. My DS1 has been able to be “a big fish in a small pond in a big school” by being in an Honors program.

BTW…will you double majoring in music? Some will give you $$ for that.

Also…since your an IB person, don’t you want a school that will give you big credit for that?

Oh, that’s a great idea. I’ve never thought of that – entering an Honors Program so I could be a big fish in a small pond. Haha.

As for double majoring, I was thinking of doing that; I’m really interested in music theory, but for performance, I doubt I’d have the sufficient amount of skills to accomplish anything. And what did you mean by schools giving me “$$” for double majoring in music?

And for IB credits, yes I would like credits for it, but don’t a majority of the schools offer credit for AP and IB classes anyways?
