Help Me for my boarding high school interviews!!

Hi.
I’m going to apply for SPS, NMH, Deerfield, and Suffield.

My first choice is SPS, then Deerfield, NMH, Suffield.

I want to know the characteristics of each school, and some information that would help me for the interviews. I searched for threads like this, but there wasn’t enough information. I hope I could get a thorough answer.
By the way, I’m a wrestler.

Umm, I think you can do that research on your own. Visit the schools’ websites and read everything you can. Why did you pick those schools, you must have known some of their “characteristics” already if you chose them.

The interview is also to get to know you, the student, and what you have to offer the school. Of course it is always good to know why you want to attend each particular school. I think it’s incumbent on you to figure that out.

Very important you should know what you loved abt each school, they will ask in the interview…
You need to know what aspect of the school you like and why you are gravitating towards that school, no one else can do the research for you bc its so personal… a good place to start would be to browse their websites

I agree with the posters above. In particular I suggest looking at the course catalogs to review the course offerings, courses of study and the graduation requirements. Also look for extracurricular offerings that are of interest to you. And how about the sports you will pursue outside of the wrestling season?

In terms of personal experience with my kid deciding to apply to NMH, Suffield and Deerfield last year, here are some features for each which were particular appealing: NMH’s CMAP, music facilities and farm; Suffield’s leadership program; and Deerfield’s STEM program and facilities.

If wrestling is your thing it would be a good idea to better understand each of the programs and where they rank in any given season. It will give you valuable information for which to chat with the coaches as well as an idea of where you might fall competitively. Each of the schools you are looking at has some sort of student newspaper, bulletin, or other information sharing tool where you van find very relevant information. They like to know that you’ve done your research!
