I feel like i forgot something, so tell me if i did. I’m pretty confident in my essay. Basically, I’m in one of the most competitive high schools in the us (75% asian, above 50% have 4.00+), and im hoping they see that.
First of all, do I have a decent chance of getting into LA, or Berkley? SD? Also, I’m torn between early decision JHU (BME) or cornell, but after seeing some of the cornell stats, i feel like i shouldnt even bother. Help me out?
thanks

Don’t join a million clubs! Stick with a few and become a dedicated member with responsibility. There is limited amount of space to write about ECs; you have enough (and are doing well in them).

there are thousands of students in california that have applied to UCLA without any personal assistance. just do what you are doing. and trust me, joining some more clubs would not make a difference in your senior year since you had three years to join it beforehand. have confidence in your current scores, and if you are retaking a few, good luck. if not, it’s not that bad. just have confidence in yourself. if i were to tell you that your SAT sucks, and that you are have no chance in getting in, are you going to just give up? NO. believe in yourself, and try to show that UCLA that those scores are worthy for you to get in. and it’s not only about the scores, it’s also about your personal statements too.
