I want to hopefully get into the corporate world when i grow up, so i wanna do an MBA from a Great US university like Harvard or Wharton after this.
I’ve heard that reaching these schools is harder as a student in a Canadian university because US universities have some interconnections of some sort ( not sure about it, heard this somewhere )

What do you mean by “aid”? You may have a 36,000 aid package at UT, but how much of that is loans?

MBA admission is much more about your work experience (a bare minimum of two, but preferably four or five years of increasingly responsibility), your GMAT score, your letters of recommendation from your work supervisors and your old college professors, and your college GPA than it is about the name on your diploma. International candidates who are graduates of universities that you have never heard of get into Harvard and Wharton every single year because of those other factors. There is no such thing as a “keep the Canadian’s out” mafia.

Pancaked is absolutely correct. You need to analyze both of your aid packages. What is your real cost at each of your universities if you take out any figures for loans (that you will have to pay back) and work-study (that you will have to earn)? Try running the numbers through this calculator: [FinAid | Calculators | Advanced Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid)

Also don’t forget to consider the terms associated with any grants: GPA requirements being a big factor. A lesser sum with a lower gpa requirement might be the better deal.

From what I know of the schools…I would go to UT. The Engineering program is excellent there–my father majored in Engineering when he attended and is still very involved with the school, so he’s aware of the current state of things. With his degree from UT, he was able to pursue degrees at Stanford subsequently.
