Help me plan an Oregon wine trip!

We are thinking of going this June. If we fly into Portland, where do we go from there and where do we stay? Any feedback from people who live in Oregon or who have done something similar would be appreciated!

My H and I were planning a trip to Portland last November but changed our minds when we realized that many of our favorite wineries would be closed for the winter. When I was doing my research, one thing I got all excited about was the Portland food carts.
Hi-

We did this several years agao and had a blast! Williamette Valley is the place to be - we stayed at Youngberg Hill Vineyard http://www.youngberghill.com/</a> and it was lovely. There were several wine dinners in the region of Dundee and MicMinville the week we were there, so we went to a couple and it was fabulous. Even the beer breweries are great. We also did some hiking as well as spent a couple of days along the coast. HAVE FUN!

Domaine Serene has amazing wine.
Many wineries are a pleasant day trip from Portland. Yes, I live in Portland, but I’d still recommend to someone to stay in Portland because the restaurants are fabulous here… so stay here, eat breakfast here (Portland has a lot of great breakfast-only restaurants), head out to the wineries you want to go to, which are mostly only open from 11 to 4 or 5, then head back to Portland for an amazing dinner.

What dmd said. Portland has great accomodations and amazing food. Look for directions to Linfield College from Portland - there are multiple wineries on that route.
