Help me please! Varied Interests - Engineering and Poly Sci

I’m a high school senior deciding on what school to send my deposit to.

The two top schools I’m considering:

Washington University in St. Louis
George Washington University

Have the two programs I’m looking for: Engineering and Political Science. The goal is to work as an engineer while in law school or something and eventually become involved in politics and advocacy.

I know WashU has a strong engineering program and GWU has a strong polysci (well it’s in D.C.) but if there is anyone who either is in the engineering or political science program at GWU or WashU could help me decide I would greatly appreciate the help.

Let me say I’m from New Hampshire and never really thought that I would want a campus - change of landscape would be nice - so the majority of the schools i applied to are city/urban schools. I have visited both GWU and WUSTL and still can’t decide.

Another thing i’m dealing with reckoning with is the difference in the cities. D.C. well is D.C and has all the opportunities of government internships and acess you can’t get elsewhere. I wasn’t able to get a good feel for the city of St. Louis when i visited but really liked the campus. The atmosphere was really good - but i did notice there where almost no students outside on the green on a very sunny day in the 70s - rather odd.

Also there is the issue of financial aid.

GWU gave me $30,000/ year
WUSTL $7,800 which expires next year after my sister is out of college.

any help …?
