Brief intro: Junior transfer. Accounting major. 25yo independent. Comm. college transfer to Loyola Chicago.
Transferring: LUC became too expensive. Rejected or gapped excessively at Richmond, Loyola MD, DePaul and Dayton. Rejected for personal education loans. Went .000 in national scholarships. Late start in transfer process. Could not reapply for UMCP’s main campus.
Accepted into:

U of Baltimore (AACSB-accredited school for non-traditional (63%) and part-time (50%) students)
- city, peers, scholarships (1/4 tuition discount), schedule flexibility
- on-campus recruiting, sports, clubs, campus

U of Maryland-College Park AT SHADY GROVE (full Smith program at extension campus)
- UMD degree and job opportunities, can keep same apartment, scholarships (full tuition likely), small classes
- clubs, public transportation, schedule flexibility, 2 year requirement

U of Southern Indiana (Public U in Evansville Indiana with OOS tuition discounts)
- midwest, cheap tuition after discounts, schedule flexibility, true campus
- smallish city, infrequent public transportation, commuter

Towson U (no campus housing and few open classes in major b/c of late enrollment)
- city, clubs, sports, most friends
- poor reputation, this semester’s classes, scholarships, very large

Housing situation doesn’t bother me much - few juniors and seniors live on campus anyway. I am conflicted over attending UMCP@SG and never bumping into a history or physics major. And being another nameless face at Maryland Second-Rate State (Towson). One of these will certainly be the school I graduate from so I want the degree and experience to count.
