Looking for a sturdy rolling carry on bag about 19 x 13 x 7. This is smaller than most I see online.
I prefer the suitcase style over the duffel type.
Any suggestions?

ETA: sorry, wrong forum. Can this post be moved to cafe?

They are having a sale now. They make very sturdy suitcase.

LL Bean has rolling luggage in various sizes. They have free shipping 'til Dec. 20.

Try Eagle Creek HC2 Hovercraft 19" upright. It’s 19x14x9, so a tad bigger than what you want. eBags has it on sale. I have one piece of this collection and love it. It’s very lightweight and sturdy. Getting ready to buy the 25".

I have two Eagle Creek Hovercraft bags and I absolutely love them. I have owned several pieces of Eagle Creek luggage over the years and have always been completely pleased. The Hovercraft line is particularly lightweight. One thing I love about that brand is the quality of the wheels and the zippers. The bags last forever.

Victornoix (sp?) Swiss Army is great and there are fun colors. We have been using it for about 10 years. My freshman in college uses it too and when the zipper broke on his suitcase bought about 8 years ago; they replaced it for free with a brand new suitcase. I love Swiss Army.

I usually get it for a discount on ebags.com or some other website.

Here’s one at Macy’s that is 18 x 13 x 7. I found it by using the red ‘luggage finder’ link on this Macy’s page:

You might be able to find more in the right size range with it.

I’ve been very happy with this suitcase:

It’s 13 x 8 x 17, and very lightweight. It is hard, though, and won’t expand. It has great wheels that move in all directions.

I guess other owners are as happy as I am. There are 120+ reviews, average rating 4.7/5.

My Jansport wheeled backpack is that size and is pretty well “squared off” like a suitcase. Fits in the upper luggage compartment of even the smallest plane.
It is surviving well going on tough trips, full of heavy stuff. It holds a lot. I have seen it for as little as $44. The handle seems very strong.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up buying an REI brand “Stratocruiser 18”.
