Help Meeting People as a transfer student

Hey I’m a sophomore and just transferred in this Spring semester. I’m very sociable, but I live in ECV so it’s kind of closed off. Definitely don’t want to rush, plus it’s too late. What are some good clubs or organizations to join to meet new people? Or any other ways? Everyone seems friendly but kind of already in the niche. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Welcome to UGA! What is your major or intended area of study? Any favorite activities?

Hey thank you thank you. I’m psychology premed. Interests include sports, music, biology (nerd on the inside) and having fun on weekends lol. Of course any club I join I’d probably need an interest in, but my main interest in joining a club is an outlet to meet lots of new people soon. So i’m pretty open minded as to which one based on that criteria

Might be too late for tonight, but you might try activities like Dawgs After Dark at the Tate Center. Lots of sports activities at Ramsey, look at the different club sports that are offered, like ultimate frisbee. Lots of concerts at the music school. Look for the pyschology and/or biology clubs.

The GORP trips on the weekends would be another way to meet people. Look on the Ramsey website for the offerings.

Best of luck to you.

there is a club called Transfer Student Organization. I’m a transfer as well but I haven’t had the time to attend the meetings. Look for their flyers around campus for their next meeting. I think you can get on their list serv at [LISTSERV at The University of Georgia](http://www.listserv.uga.edu)
