HELP! mistake on CSU app!

I realized that I left out band for 9th grade! How can I fix the mistake so I don’t get rejected for lying on my application?

Do you mean cal states? If so, each one has instructions for correcting info on their CSU Mentor or admission website. For example, Cal Poly SLO and I think San Diego State, have specific wording the want in the subject and content of an email, but Chico just said “ok, thanks! Fixed it!”

San Diego State

"If you want to make updates/corrections to your fall 2011 application, you must be very specific. Send an e-mail with the following information to admissions@sdsu.edu. State your full name, RedID number (this number can be found online at www.sdsu.edu/redid and is sent to each applicant once an application is filed, but please allow up to two weeks for processing after you apply for this number to be emailed to you by our office), date of birth, and indicate if you are an applicant for either first time freshmen or transfer admission into the fall 2011 semester.

List the additional information/correction(s) you want to make to the application. For instance, if updating your academic record, please include the school name, department and title, semester the course was taken or being taken, and the grade earned or in-progress/planned. Also, for transfer students, list the specific course number, title, and unit value (e.g., Southwestern College Art 101 Intro to Art 3.0 Planned spring 2010). Be very clear and specific.

If updating SAT Reasoning exam scores, be sure to list the entire test scores, which need to include the following:

* Critical Reading

 • Math
 • Writing
 • Multiple Choice
 • Essay

Please also include the date on which you had taken the exam (month and year). Otherwise, we will not be able to update your application.

Should you have additional questions, feel free to contact our Prospective Student Center at (619) 594-6336.

Sincerely,

You won’t get rejected. Seriously, they aren’t going to check and see if you were in band your freshman year.

leaving things out dont get you rejected for lying…its when you add things that you didnt do

So if I don’t do anything it will be ok? Because I really didn’t need the class I’m just afraid of messing up my chances for something stupid. I think I’ll try to send a correction anyways.
There isn’t instructions for CSU Fullerton or Long Beach, does anybody know?
also is there a deadline that I have to send it in by, or does it just have to be before they see my transcript?

bump bump bump

I think it would only be a significant problem if you got a poor grade and it changed your GPA and since freshman grades are not counted that is not a problem.

Another problem could be if Band is considered a VPA and that is the only VPA that you have they may say that you do not qualify. Visual Performing Arts (VPA)
