Last summer I was a rising sophomore and I did summer@brown. I was thinking of doing it again this summer. Would it look better if I did a summer program at some other school(ie Georgetown, Columbia, etc.) instead of Brown? I know that these programs are not prestigious but just in terms of doing something. Obviously I wouldn’t be taking the same course again. Any thoughts?

In terms of admission, it really doesn’t matter. Do you want exposure to a different school? Is there a course that you’d really like to take that isn’t offered at Brown?

Taking classes during the year and then taking classes at a university during summer is just more the the same. You look boring boring boring. Find something different that will differentiate you on college apps.

Maybe try doing an internship.
