Help!! Need Feedback

Okay, here’s the deal: I just received this invitation to attend this Princeton session. Here is the email exactly: The Princeton Alumni Club of Greece,
the Athens Chapter of the Alumni Schools Committee and the Hellenic Studies Program at Princeton University cordially invite all Junior students interested in studying in the U.S. to a PRINCETON NIGHT Information session. A Presentation of Princeton by Princeton’s own Alumni featuring Dr. Dimitri Gondicas, Director Hellenic Studies Program Come and have all your questions answered!

Okay, so basically here is the dilemma, should I go or not? I mean I don’t have any real questions, I applied early and I have already contacted some alumni, so it would be a waste of time. On the other hand, if I don’t go, it might show a lack of interest and it would be even worse if they expected me to come. Help, I need feedback! The session starts in about 2 hours!

Oh, and something else, when it says “Junior students” does it mean actual juniors (i’m a senior) or students interested in attending pton for undergrad?

i would definitely go… there will be nothing bad if u go …even if it is a waste of time…maybe it will be interesting…though i deeply suspect ur suspicion that there might be something worse if u don’t go…

i dont think it means much since u have already applied, and it sounds more like an info session for prospective applicants. also, just so u know, most international applicaants get similar emails, and most just repeat the same old stuff

here’s the thing.

Princeton does NOT CARE if applicants attend info sessions or tour their school, because they don’t need to see the “demonstrated interest.” this is more for schools that have weaker draws and need to weed out those applicants who are not truly interested in their institution, and are simply using them as safety schools.

this is why P’ton doesn’t even require students to log in when they come for info sessions or tours. Especially for ED, where they know that you are truly interested and want to attend their school.

r u seriously asking this question??? If you want to go to Princeton you should prob start thinking a little for yourself.

PK that is wrong, when Princeton visited my school they made us fill out cards with basic info.

lol…
b4nn that is for mailing lists…

trust me i went to the P’ton info session and tour 2 times

I haven’t got anything from Princeton since the meeting. This wasn’t a tour or info session, it was a Princeton rep visiting our school and meeting with applicants and future applicants…maybe you are right but I don’t know. Doesn’t really matter :D

Also, thanks for responding to my PM…not! Just kidding I don’t mind.

this is my 1st time posting and i was wondering if there is anyone out there who has some other advice for financial aid if you don’t have a cosigner and are basically poor?

jmarie, Ask Princeton directly about financial aid! They won’t eat you, promise. Do you really think some random people on the internet know more about Princeton financial aid than the financial aid office itself???

Go to their website and get the contact info.
