Help needed for a UC Transfer student

I’m currently in a California University which has this program called the University Link Program: [UniversityLink You can check the requirements and all other information.

I’ve been on this program since Fall 2011, and expect to transfer to UCSD in Winter 2013. I have a few questions in order to have a “seat” available at the university.

When should I apply for UCSD if I want to go in Winter 2013 or later?

What type of SAT scores should I have?

What type of ACT scores should I have(if necessary)?

What type of GPA should I need? Atleast 3.2 GPA?

Volunteer work?

Leadership experience?

There is a program called University Link Medical Science Program that helps students transfer within the science/medical field: UniversityLink Medical Science Program](http://admissions.ucsd.edu/transfers/prep-programs/university-link.html)

Would this program help me if I want to become a Clinical Psychologist?

Thank you for answering my freshman wise questions and for your patience, I have no knowledge of what I have to do in order to succeed, if another student is willing to help another then it will make other students less of a mess.

Hope to help others inside this community too. :)

UC’s only have one application period and that’s in November. Almost all the UCs, including UCSD, admit only to Fall quarter, not Winter. You generally don’t pick the quarter you enroll, you’re just admitted for Fall or as in the case of Berkeley potentially spring quarter.

As far as the other questions, I’m not sure many people can help you here on these boards. This is a uc transfer forum, most of us don’t have any familiarity with SAT, ACT, or high school GPAs in terms of admission. I’d assume there are more appropriate places one could ask those questions on this site.

UCSD UniversityLink has its own advising staff. You should direct your questions to the program advisors.
