HELP needed with Berkeley MAP transfer update

Hi all. I am a CCC student applying to transfer to the UC’s fall 2025. I submitted my application months ago, and filled out my Transfer Academic Update as soon as I could. I have heard tons of reminders about how Berkeley has it’s own academic update on the MAP@Berkeley page. In an email sent out by the UC systemwide email, regarding the transfer academic update, it said “UC Berkeley requires its applicants to complete additional forms, available on January 6, 2025 at: link”.

Well, I checked the portal on January 6th, and there weren’t any forms per se. There was a place to upload unofficial transcripts that had appeared. I uploaded my transcripts of course. On the Berkeley website, it says that forms will appear under a “forms” tab on the MAP website. However, this was not the case for me. I asked my friend, and they also had no special forms appear – just a place to upload unofficial transcripts that wasn’t there when they first opened their MAP portal before Jan 6th. Is the berkeley MAP update simply the unofficial transcript upload? Or are we missing something?

Thanks for any input. I have reached out to the UC email, but they said it might take 5-7 days for a response–and that’s assuming the response is helpful.

This is what the UC Berkeley website states:

Complete two forms, one for UC Berkeley and one for the University of California. The form for UC Berkeley will be listed in your campus application portal (MAP@Berkeley) under “forms” starting in January. You’ll receive an email notification. For information on the second form for the University of California, please visit the Transfer Academic Update website.

Transfer applicants to the following majors (except for the College of Letters and Science and the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society) will need to fill out a ‘major prerequisite’ form. Those applying to majors in either the College of Letters and Science or the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society should check ASSISTand the Berkeley Academic Guide to ensure they have the major prerequisites.
