<p>Goucher, Bryn Mawr, and a few other schools have special premed programs just for career changers. These programs have a very high success rate. I had a coworker who left to join the Goucher program, did fine, and entered a good medical school. If you can afford it, that may be the best route. Second best might be to find out what they do in these programs, and duplicate it yourself at a local public university that you can attend part time or as a special student. And obviously, buy MCAT prep books and really work with them.</p>
