Help - NYU, BU, OSU, USC

Hi! I’m 16, and I’m a junior in high school. My GPA is around a 3.4. I have 1 honors (hon. alg ii), and 1 AP (psych) as of now, but I am taking 2 AP (Cal BC and Lang & Comp) and 1 honors (Physics) class next year and I think I’m going to be graduating with an honors diploma. I had one year of football freshmen year, ski club for 3 years, and I am a part of a rock club at my school that gives other students that are musically inclined play rock music in a silent rehearsal environment. I will also be joining an international language club soon and do a lot of community service this summer for my EC. Also might be doing jazz band next year. I speak English, Vietnamese, and some French (getting better by the day)

Outside of school activities:
I know these may not help my chances, but it may show colleges that I have a strong creative passion.

Music - Piano for 8 years, guitar for 5, bass for 5, drums for two, violin for a few months, and I produce my own music as well.
Graphic Design - I have been learning graphic design since I was in 6th grade, and learning as much about photoshop and design as I could; and I’m pretty proficient now.

I was just wondering what my chances are like for these schools? I’m busting my ass right now because i had a lot of family issues Sophomore year and I was distracted all the team and did pretty badly :frowning:

I’m a good test taker, and I think I can pull around a 30-32 for my ACT, maybe even higher, and hopefully at least a 2000 on my SAT.

I live in Ohio, so that should help my chances for OSU, however, NYU is my dream school. My family’s extremely low income (single mother, <$25000 a year) is the only thing that worries me, and I’m paying for my own college education. What do you think are my chances for these four schools are if I keep working hard? I’ve really been working extremely hard this year, pulling off a 3.9 average for this year so far, and my GPA should go up as well.

Sorry if my thoughts seem kind of jumbled, I’m just really stressed out and I guess after seeing so many posts about these amazing students with amazing extracurriculars, I just feel inferior and I’m doubting myself again lol. I’ve always wanted to go to NYU. Boston is a close second, but I’ve been planning for New York throughout high school and if I don’t get accepted, I feel like it’d be devastating.

Well, this concludes my ramble, any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. :)
