This late and with thos stats PSU would be a reach (I think both UM’s would be as well)

Your list seems to be a bit top-heavy for you.
That is something you must watch for…because you want to make sure you get in somewhere

Thanks…could you suggest me some…safety schools?

Are you a junior or a senior? That makes a big difference for schools like penn state, where it is an advantage to apply early.

Pennsylvania State UniversityUniversity Park- good match
University of Connecticut- good match
University of Pittsburgh- good match
Indiana University Bloomington- safety
RutgersNew Brunswick- match/safe match (not sure which)
Ohio State UniversityColumbus- safe match
American University- good match
Pace University- safety
University of MichiganAnn Arbor- big reach
University of Delaware- slight reach
University of MarylandCollege Park- slight reach
George Washington University- good match
New York University- big reach

Don’t know enough about Mich State, University at BuffaloSUNY, SUNYBinghamton, and CUNYBaruch College to say chances

Upitt, OSU, and UConn are pretty sure bets for you

THANK YOU chocolateluvr88 and 311Griff ! Sure I need some safeties!

I am a senior!

I will retake SAT in Jan. 28th…hopefully I can get 1300+ (CR+M)!!

Have you sent in applications yet? Penn State, U of Mich, Rutgers, Pitt, and I think IU (not sure on that one), are rolling, and if you haven’t sent them in, that isn’t good. Send them ASAP if you didn’t send them yet.

The rolling admission schools may be tougher having waiting so long. Indiana University Bloomington has had a big increase in applicants this year…early on in the process this was announced and so you are coming in very late. Be sure to follow the advice to you here…get the rolling school apps in this week.

I will send apps tmr!!!

Bump It Up!!!

I don’t think you’re getting into Indiana at this point. As Hazmat said, it’s very late, applications have increased (meaning higher expectations than normal), and you’re stats are average there.

GPA really isn’t strong, neither is that critical reading score.

Don’t think you’re looking very realistic at schools. I don’t see admittance at many Big 10 schools, if any for you. All of the lower tier Big 10 schools have rolling admissions, only Northwestern is really regular decision. Applying this late is a big mistake, especially with your GPA and CR score.

I don’t know anything about these schools and admissions, but nearly all the others you have low chances, if any chance at all at.

CUNYBaruch College
University at BuffaloSUNY
SUNYBinghamton
Pace University

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but this is how I see it. I’m just giving an honest opinion, and I don’t want you wasting money at schools I don’t think you’re getting into.

Don’t bother with GWU, NYU or UMich at this point, they’re too much of a reach for how much of a time crunch you’re in. Your math score is good, so that makes you a match at schools like OSU and IU perhaps. You may want to consider schools outside the Northeast/midwest. Maybe a school like U of Florida or a UC school?

despair…

A2Wolves6 and chibearsfan17… can you suggest me some schools that I have a higher chance of getting in?

Bryant University perhaps?
