I dont think its tough schedule, i get weekends off , and half day of thurs .
Im from Fullerton College .
does it seem possible? . any other suggestions?
I can apply just for math majors but. math/econ attracts me so much.

If I dont make it w this plan , i can go to cc for one more year
and prepare , bizecon or engineering(kinda off but yea)…

Is there maximum unit for transfer? heard its like 75 or more cannot apply or something . is that true?

and i mean, if UCLA is gonna be iffy about me being .0000001 away from 60, I’ll just take Badminton or Yoga for the remaining credit, lol.

70 units is the maximum allowed transferable unit for most majors.
Engineering is an exemption and I think they allow you up to 80 units or so to transfer since most of the classes have high units.

It wouldn’t hurt to talk to UC admission counselor.
See if they can write out a Transfer Agreement Plan(TAP) with you.
I came from a community college where students enrolled in the honor’s program are guaranteed UC transfers through TAP.

here’s the UCLA info for TAPAcademic Criteria

* Junior-level standing (60 semester/90 quarter transferable units completed) by the end of the spring term before you transfer.
GPA of 3.20 or higher earned in transferable courses.
Progress towards completion of major preparation requirements by spring prior to transfer (see below).
There may be additional lower division requirements that students may complete–either at their current institutions or at UCLA. Should a major not have specific prerequisites, we expect students to demonstrate interest in academic study by completing coursework related to the major.
Completion of the UC English composition, mathematics, and additional subject requirements by spring prior to transfer:
o Two courses in English composition/critical thinking and writing.
o One transferable math course that has a prerequisite of intermediate algebra or higher.
o Four transferable college courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, physical and biological sciences.
Completion of the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC), UCLA general education requirements, or another UC campus’s breadth requirements is highly recommended for applicants to the College of Letters and Science and the School of Arts and Architecture.
Applicants to the School of Theater, Film, and Television must complete one of the aforementioned general education paths.
Applicants to the School of Nursing and the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science are strongly encouraged to work towards the respective school’s curriculum requirements.

Yeah, Skyline College has TAP. it’s a bummer that it has it and not nearby College of San Mateo. I hate the weather at Skyline and it sucks that their mascot are Trojans. SC Trojans = ain’t fly for a UCLA fan.

I think each community college differs, but the way I got it was through my counselor. She told me that AP US History = 8 Quarter units, and AP Government = 4 quarter units. Therefore, in order to find them, on a semester scale (as i learned from another cc member), you divide the number of units by 1.5.

You should check with UC on how they credit APs, like you said it might differ with CCs so better be safe than a few units short of the required 60.

Ok
i changed my plan . cuz my old plan(first post) only completed
major prep for Math/Econ , and no IGETC … just GE
So

Spring 09(14)

How does it sound?
If i dont make it with this one year plan, im planning to aim for enginerring or biz econ by staying one more year .
