<p>The Center of Excellence in Nano Mechanical Science and Engineering is a $46-million facility made possible in part by a $9.5 million grant from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

<p>What?? No way!! Only 46-million?? lol~ No wonder Michigan’s Mechanical Engineering program is in decline, dropping ranking from #2 to now #5 in the nation. :p</p>

<p>TOSU’s Scott Laboratory cost $72.5 million in 2008. As its Dean pointed out that based on today’s construction cost, it would have cost over $100-million to complete the project (consider tOSU fortunate in funding; named for alumni Peter and Claire Scott who donated $10 million). </p>

<p>Here is another example of current tOSU engineering related facility construction, CBEC ($126-million), with completion date also by 2014.</p>
