Help please! I dont know where to apply!

Ok well its not that serious. Ok so basically my question here is that many people tell me i should be trying for higher up colleges than what i already applied to. Yet i dont know how far up the ladder i should be looking. Im interested in Business and law, where can i go thats affordable and still up there.

Heres some stats of me:

GPA= 95% on the 100% scale
Academics= Some APs, going to graduate with my schools highest diploma (advanced regents)
Extracurriculur= A lot of community service, im in the Boy scouts, and have earned my Eagle scout award.
SATs= Not so beautiful, 1510 and im going to take em again this saturday.

Another thing, my eagle scout award, many tell me this is pretty much a lifesaver and can get me into really high places. Is this true? and how far? ( i recently got to meet the CEO of Exxonmobil because of my eagle.)

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! IM GOING OUT OF MY MIND!!

University of Pittsburgh

If it’s 1510 out of 2400, then you’ll need a place that will take into consideration your grades and class rank. Rhodes might be a match given your interests in business and law (several of our students each year major in business and go on to law school). There’s also a strong community service focus here, so if that’s a part of your life you’d like to continue, there are a LOT of opportunities here.

Start by stating hwre you applied and what YOU think you want. What part of the country? What size school? City/suburban/rural? and so on

And no, I do not think an Eagle Scout is worth 200 SAT points–but with your stats, there are good options in all parts of the country

Your Eagle Scout would be a good plus at top selectives, but only if you also had top stats. It won’t “make up” for lowish SAT score. (Congrats on Eagle!! :slight_smile: )

you’re interested in Business and Law! good

now…what’s your financial situation? Can you pay full-freight? How much have your parents said they can pay? if you’ll need FA, what is their EFC or their income?

What is your home state?

What kind of school interests you? Big school with big team sports to watch? Quiet school?

From this info, we’ll be able to make some sound suggestions!

A lot of places don’t even require SAT’s. Bates comes to mind.
