Help please!!!!! Panicking...

Hey fam–

I sent in my SAT scores early for my Jan 15 date colleges, but something went wrong and they didn’t send so I sent them on Jan 20th rushed. They still haven’t arrived…Will colleges not accept me!!! The ones in question are Chapel hill, American University, Macalester, and Wash U. None of them have them, collegeboard.org says “pending”. I sent an email to Macalester (my first choice) to say that they were coming and I’m sorry, should I do so for the others!!! Help appreciated ASAP thanks!!!

Call customer service at the College Board or have your parent call and make an issue. You will need to document when you ordered the scores, have exact dates. Tell them to contact the schools or otherwise fix this.

If this is really your fault in some way (not saying it is), and your real question is what happens if you forgot to send in your scores, you should probably be fine. They REALLY expect the application in on time, everything else is considered beyond your control.

Why haven’t you asked your counselor to notify your schools?

Don’t panic – schools usually have a longer document (and SAT scores) deadline, although not usually easily noticed. Also, most colleges take several weeks to sort through all documents and stay until mid-february to actually begin making admission decisions.
