Help please

Hey new to College Confidential. I am currently an undergraduate at community college (Frederick, MD) I previously attended Salisbury University but left since I didn’t like the party school atmosphere. Well anyways I am finishing up my last semester at FCC and will finish up with an associates degree and a 3.92 GPA. I have been accepted to Mount Saint Marys but am debating whether or not I should go since I would really like to get out of Frederick and am not sure if Mount Saint Marys University is a school with national recognition? ( I plan to major in Accounting hopefully becoming CPA certified). I have also applied to The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) but am not sure whether or not I will be accepted since I have a mediocre high school record (2.75 GPA, 1200 SAT) so could someone tell me about my chances of getting into TCNJ? I want to apply to a third school that is small, preferably somewhere in MD, DE, Northern VA, PA, DC has a good reputation, not too $$$ (EXPENSIVE )

well your a little picky in your 3rd school requirements :stuck_out_tongue: the university of richmond in VA is a small school thats pretty recognized and they give out a lot of financial aid and scholarships but its a private school so it is pretty expensive…Mount St Marys is pretty well known if you tell people you graduated from there theyll know what youre talking about… idk anything about tcnj though, sorry
Good luck!!

Sorry, I can’t help with TCNJ or a third option, but i do agree with ebakos- Mount St Mary’s in Maryland does have a lot of name recognition. When you talk with people about going to the Mount, they know the school and its good academic reputation. Their Business and Accounting programs have national recognition and accreditation (from the IACBE i believe). Have you contacted their transfer coordinator yet? I think they have a good program set up for students transfering in with an AA degree. I did my undergrad at the Mount and found it to be a strong place that really helped me grow up and learn a lot about life. Good luck in your search!

Thanks appreciate the help
