<p>I found mine at Jessica McClintock. But check out Dillard’s, JCPenny’s etc. It kind of depends on what money you’d like to shell out. I did not attend Homecoming last year in order to save up for my Senior Prom [was not going to go til I was asked to, either].</p>
<p>If you have one nearby, David’s Bridal carries prom dresses. They’ll probably be more pricey than the ones you’d find at JCPenney’s or Sears, but it’s worth it if you’re looking for a shade outside the usual spectrum of really bright colors offered in the department stores.</p>
<p>Generally long dresses are strapless, halters or sleeveless. If you want long, but want to cover your shoulders/arms, be prepared to get a strapless or spaghetti strap dress and get a wrap to go with it. Many of the dresses at Davids will have an optional matching wrap.</p>

<p>Disclaimer: I’m not Mormon, and my two D’s went with strapless/spagetti strap prom dresses (they are both rail-thin so it wasn’t like lots was showing)</p>
<p>I wish there were choices in the stores like the website above. I think lots of girls look better with a bit of sleeve and more fabric around the neckline (See thread about the girls in trouble for showing too much skin at prom), especially heavier girls. What’s marketed now in most stores is not flattering for many people. You shouldn’t have to shop at the special Mormon shop to get something that doesn’t hang everything out there, so to speak…</p>
