I just got back my school records what I seen I was heart broke I felt like I was looking at a mini mental health record the way these teachers talked about me at that younger than age was really really sad and really stigmatizing I can never return to the school and let them get their records in their hands I would be so embarrassed but I was looking it over and just wondering wht does this mean ABS : 31.0 please anyone
American Bureau of Shipping? Anti-lock braking system? Your abs were 31 inches? If you could add a few periods at the ends of your sentences, it might help…

@millie210 Absences sound logical, My google search didn’t come up with that…31 would have been a lot. That may have been the source of the teacher comments that seem stigmatizing.

It sounds like a conference is in order – involving the guidance counselor, the parents, and the student. If that’s too uncomfortable, separate conferences (counselor/student, counselor/parent) might be better.
If you’re getting information from your school that looks like it’s a cause for concern and you don’t understand it, the first step is to figure out what it means. The school can help with this.
