Help took hard electives and now screwed!!!

Hi,

I’m a freshman at a Canadian university, I’m majoring in business. So I took many APs in high school and ended up with credits for all of them. So I thought, rather than taking first-year econ electives I’d take some 2nd or 3rd year econ electives instead. Now I’m so screwed. I’m getting 70s for them. Sure I slacked off a bit, but still if I’m taking Econ 101 I can easily ace that course without even attending class.

So first, are there any benefits for taking hard electives? Is there a way to “cancel” a course. I mean I have over 40 AP credits, so I really don’t need any credits to graduate. I mean I’m getting over 90% in Calculus but I don’t want my electives to ruin my GPA… =(

Help!!!

Isn’t 70 in Canadian schools like a B? You’re okay!
