HELP! UCLA dropped my class

I was enrolled in hist9e since school started, so far i have gone to every single lecture / discussion. but because i figured out that i couldn’t get to my discussion on time since its at the other side of the school, i switched my discussion section on my ursa. I was #1 on the wait list, for the discussion section, and my lecture turned from enrolled to held. but i just checked today and my entire hist 9e class got dropped :(. i only have 9 units now. If i email my professor , can he do anything ? is there anyway i could still get into that class?

Thanks!

ask the teacher for a PTE

Do PTE number still work after the second week? and wht happens if i cant get my class back? i will only have 9 credits, so i wouldnt be full time. (i dont have financial aid)

^ if you don’t have financial aid, then nothing will happen…

waitlists get dropped after 2nd week. since 2 dis sections were cancelled for 9E, highly unlikley to get PTE for discussion enrollment. might as well ask though.

Even with PTE, you won’t be able to enroll because URSA closed any self-enrollment this last Friday. You’ll have to file a Late-Study-List (you get this from from Murphy Hall) and have your professor sign your petition. Get it processed by your department and then go back to Murphy Hall and they’ll reinstate your class.

^@jocep1 do u think i have a good chance on my petition? I really dont want to let all that reading go to waste.

Yeah, why not? Try it. If there’s space in the discussion, then the professor will probably let you in.

Reading history is never a waste.
