While study some vocabulary, I came across some words I wasn’t sure about.

What is the difference between pragmatic and idealistic?
What is the difference between subjective and objective?

Thank you. :)

Well… did you try a dictionary…?

I mean…those words are exact opposites, so it’s not like you are distinguishing between subtle shades of meaning (like between decry and debase).

I don’t understand the dictionary definition though. Actually, the dictionary just confuses me even more. Can someone give me an example?

Pragmatic is being sensible and realistic; idealistic is unrealistically aiming for perfection.

Subjective is influenced by a person’s feelings or opinions; objective not influenced in any way.

They’re basically complete opposites.
