Help! University of Minnesota vs University of Dallas (tiny catholic school, not UTD) for Pre-med

I will also note that sociology & psychology are heavily tested in the MCAT. Those topics have their section: Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior. (Bio questions make up less than 5% of the questions.)

And on their list of courses required for med school, UDallas’s advising page doesn’t include Biochemistry (which is required by a majority of med schools and comprises 40% of the questions in the Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems section.)

Of course.

Honestly, this thread took a turn from the initial post because I initially thought you were wanting U of Dallas but concerned.

It’s a well respected school. If you choose it, you’ll have every opportunity in life to succeed - as you would at UMN as well.

Good luck.

I know this is an old post but what you say here about Econ at UD is not true. The Smith & Catholic Social Thought portions are just what the school advertises as making that part of the Core unique. All of the others you mention are covered in the core course, depending on who you take, & in other courses in the Econ program.
