HELP:what are my schools should i shoot for with my stats?

<p>My choices are: Monmouth, NJIT,NYU,Rutgers, UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, UCLA,UCSD
Financial Status: 2 people living on a 45k salary
Stats: GPA:3.5
Weighted GPA: 4.8 out of 6 or a 4 on a 5 point scale
Ethnicity:Hispanic(Puerto Rican) and Indian
Class types:All honors and APs except level one math, made wind ensemble(highest level of band) for senior year
SATS: (they are bad right now but I’m in the 1800’s range hoping to get up at a 2000)
US History Score: 700
CR:550 M:520 W:530 (I took this at the beginning of my junior year, and yes I’m nkt naturally smart, just saying)
Extra-curriculars: Tennis 3 years on JV,1 year on Varsity
Jazz Band(9th and 10th grade)
Independent piano study, top piano player at my piano school (11 years)
Library volunteer hours: 500 hours
Making an Impact:33 hours( new club my friend made)
Kickboxing:2 months( I might make team black belt which is a more rigorous program, its by invitation for students who are serious about getting better)
Job experience: worked as library page for 4 months
Might look into getting a job at my dojo because they have training to become part of the staff</p>

<p>I would say with the SATs and gpa, that ucla is a real reach. UCSD is also a bit of a reach with your current SAT, but if you do get that to a 2000, then you have a much better chance, and you should be pretty solid for the other schools.</p>
