Hi, everybody,
I applied for ED II and deferred to the RD round…
I did what i think i should do, and I am not sure what I should do for now…just waiting for the result…or what other things that I can do to get me more chances?

I sent my mid-year report and my detail list of my EC (since i didn’t list them in detail before, also i added something new), I handwrote a letter for Mount Holyoke explaining why I want to study there, and also more about me personally…

so this is all…i don’t know what else i can do,
should I bother to call them to show my earnest…or should I not…
I am very anxious and worried…
any advices about what i can do for now??

you did your best and everything else is luck. please don’t spend too much time thinking about Mount Holyoke alone; they are many other colleges that might be happy to let you in. try searching for other colleges during this time instead of bothering about Mount Holyoke and yes, relax.

Reporting ECs is optional so they don’t ask for it. How did you report your ECs then, sent in the photocopies of certificates? That’s what I had done before (the photocopies…).

well…i did send my resume…since they have asked for any additional things to get more complete pic…for those who’ve been deferred…it might be a good idea to send one. Maybe email them with the attached resume. I did that.

oh i didn’t send any copy of the certifications,
a lot of activities i did, they don’t have any certifications, if there is any i sent in with the applicatin already…

I don’t think MHC wants those certificates anyway…
I e-mailed a substitute for a graded writing sample this week and I got a reply half an hour later saying that they would add it to my file. I wanna be accepted so badly…

good luck to you guys. hope you all get accepted. anyway, about the certificates and the photocopies, they are completely unnecesary because they obviously wouldn’t have time to review all of those things. maybe resume is okay but you can sufficiently explain all of your important activities in the extracurricular activities column of the commonapp. But if you have done lots of activities that they are impossible to fit in the column, sending in a resume might be a good option.

um, did you get any acknowledgement letter indicating sth like “resume received”? I didn’t receive…dunno why. Previously they had replied for “short ans one”, however. What do you think, should I re-send?

I had sent the resume since I was deferred and MHC wanted us to send any other additional materials that gave a more complete picture of ours…that’s why I sent it.
