I just got an accepted letter form Gustavus Adolphus College

Dear X,
Congratulations! Based on your academic record and personal achievements, I am pleased to offer you admission to the Class of 2019 at Gustavus Adolphus College. Bla bla bla…
And they say “Your Scholarship and Financial Aid Award is attached.”
We hope to welcome you to your new home at Gustavus next Fall!

WHAT DO THEY MEAN BY SAYING " Your Scholarship and Financial Aid Award is attached"?? Does it mean they have fully met my need???
THANKS A TONNN!!

Is there anything attached? I wouldn’t assume that fully met your need – if nothing is attached I would call and ask.

It means that your scholarship and financial aid letter should have been included. Was it?

It does NOT mean that your full need was met unless that is what the financial aid award indicates.

If you didn’t get that financial aid award…call the school.

This is such a strange question. YOU have the letter. YOU have the attachment. So, how the heck would any of us who CANNOT see what YOU have in your hands know if your need was met???

What does the financial aid and scholarship attachment SAY?

And, how much will your family pay?

I have a property tax bill that was sent to me. Can you tell me if I can afford to pay it?

What makes me worry is that nothing is attached. I heard that financial aids will be delivered after admission decision 3-5 days…Is this true?

If they say it was to be attached then it should have been enclosed. So someone made a mistake and didn’t put your award detail paper in the letter. Send them an email and tell them it is missing, ask if they can email it. When they send it to you you will see what they gave you. It is nothing to worry about, just human error.

Did you complete ALL of the required financial aid application forms for early applicants? If not, maybe that is why there is nothing attached.

Does the school have an online portal that you can check?

Did your family fill out FA paperwork and send it in?

Yes I’ve sent all required financial documents and they are all shown to be “completed”.There must be some errors since no financial award papers is sent to me. I’ll contact them immediately. Thanks for the replies.

Did you check your student portal? Sometimes financial aid is there too
