HELP!!! What UCSC college should i go to!

<p>ok major question… still debating whether or not im going to ucsc but either way i would like to know what college is best for me their.

  1. From Socal; LA beach area
  2. Appearance is important to me;not in a stuck up way what so ever though
  3. Really into partying and is looking for an upgrade in that lifestyle in college not a downgrade.
    So basically im just trying to figure out which out of the 10 colleges would fit me best because im really looking to have a great time my next 4 years :D</p>

<p>im from the beaches (redondo area) too! and my preferences were porter and kresge. college 8 was my 3rd choice</p>

<p>No, that’s incorrect. Freshmen can choose Kresge as their college. The only difference between Kresge and the rest of the colleges is that Kresge is made up apartments only. The other residential colleges are made up of dorms and apartments (freshman can only sign up for the former). </p>

<p>My BIGGEST advice is not to pick a college solely on its dorms. Yes, you will be living in that dorm for 9 months, but the people you interact with at your college are so much more important than room size. I had a neighbor last year at C10 who nearly left UCSC for community college because she didn’t like her roommate/most people on her floor. However, she met a lot of friends at Cowell during spring quarter and now she’s really happy at UCSC. </p>

<p>@kkstone, College 8 or Cowell seems like a perfect fit for you.</p>

<p>I’m in the same boat im from Southern Cali and LA area and I want the full college experiance! my two main choices were porter and cowell, but I want to know what’s good about college 8? I havent found much info on it.</p>

<p>Pros of College 8
-Huge College, probably the biggest.
-access to east remote parking lot
-good access to bus stops
-Dining hall is open late on most nights and on weekends.
-Great view
-some sport/recreational facilities: Basketball, volleyball, tennis
-close to McHenry Library and Music/Arts facilities</p>

<p>IDK why everyone is saying College eight but from the description you listed I think either Stevenson or Cowell are your best fit. College Eight is one of the farthest colleges from the gym/bookstore. You said appearance is important to you, Stevenson and Cowell has the best looking/most fit people. They are the closest ones to the gym and that tends to attract all the athletes/fit people.</p>
