<p>I am an incoming transfer student at Cal and I am trying to decide where to apply for housing. If anyone can offer feedback on Stern, Foothill, and Unit III that would be great! How is the social scene? How is the safety? Is the food good? Are there any strange stereotypes of the people who live in certain dorms? And anything else that can help me get a better idea of where to live! Thanks!</p>
<p>Foothill - expensive, farthest from the center of campus, have to walk up hill or most people take the bus back up.</p>
<p>Unit III - close to all the action of Cal, depending on which side you get it can be noisy (Spens Black North side), closest res hall to campus</p>
<p>Stern - haven’t heard too much about stern</p>
<p>My recommendation try for unit 3 its reasonably priced, closest to campus and action, there are single sex floors if that is what you are interested in.</p>
